Reconciliations Associate (Banking / Fintech)

Up to £35,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits

Due to exciting business growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a diligent and motivated Reconciliations Associate to join a leading Fintech Payments company in the heart of London. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting daily reconciliation processes related to customer funds held in safeguarding accounts, ensuring compliance with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations, and the company’s own Safeguarding policy. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive team, and be part of one of the most exciting Fintechs in the city! Please note, this role is 5 days in the office

Duties of the Reconciliations Associate to include:

  • Conduct daily and monthly client fund reconciliations to segregate funds accurately, ensuring this is in accordance with FCA standards.
  • Detect, address, and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
  • Establish and upkeep precise reconciliation procedures, including files and documentation.
  • Enhance reconciliation process efficiency and accuracy through development and implementation of improvements.
  • Coordinate with finance and payment teams to ensure timely reconciliation and accurate discrepancy documentation.
  • Lead annual safeguarding and financial audit, with a significant emphasis on reconciliation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Stay informed about FCA regulations concerning customer fund safeguarding and segregation, implementing necessary updates.

Requirements for the successful Reconciliations Associate:

  • Educated to University Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in finance, accounting or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulation and previous financial reconciliations experience gained within a banking or payment services environment is essential.
  • Part-completion of either ACCA or CIMA is desirable
  • Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and a proactive nature
