Role based in Dubai, UAE

A dynamic and results-driven Financial Institutions (FI) Sales professional to drive short term funding, trade finance, and cash management sales to FI’s, managing the purchase of short-term assets in the secondary market, and capturing Export Letters of Credit from non-credit customers. The role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with financial institutions and non-credit customers exporters, understanding their liquidity and transaction banking needs and offerings, and delivering tailored FI backed solutions to corporates to support their trade finance and cash management activities.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in trade finance, payments & cash management solutions, and secondary market asset purchases related to FI risk, with a strong ability to identify opportunities, structure deals, and execute transactions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • FI Trade Finance & Cash Management Sales
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for trade finance and cash management solutions targeting financial institutions.
  • Ensure obtaining a fair reciprocity on business the bank directs to correspondent banks, including Letters of Credit, Letters of Guarantees, and Payments.
  • Secondary Market Asset Purchases
  • Engage with counterparties, banks, and investors to identify, evaluate, and purchase and structure short-term assets aligned with the bank’s liquidity and risk appetite.
  • Manage portfolio risk by monitoring market conditions and counterparty exposures.
  • Negotiate pricing and execute secondary market transactions related to financial institution risk in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Non-credit customers exporters
  • Capture export LCs to confirm and discount from non-credit customers.
  • Client Relationship Management & Business Development
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with global and regional banks and other financial institutions to drive business growth related to FIs.
  • Act as the UAE point of contact for FI clients and correspondent banks, identifying their needs and offerings and choose what might add value, working in close coordination with FI Global Account Managers in Head Office 
  • Risk & Compliance Management
  • Ensure adherence to AML/KYC regulations, compliance policies, and risk management frameworks when structuring trade finance and cash management transactions for FIs.
  • Collaborate with risk and credit teams to assess counterparty risk and ensure appropriate due diligence for secondary market transactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and transaction approvals in line with internal governance requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in Financial Institutions Sales, Trade Finance, Cash Management, or Treasury Markets.
  • Strong understanding of trade finance instruments, working capital solutions, and transaction banking services.
  • Experience in purchasing trade finance and money market assets in the secondary market.
  • Proven track record in business development, deal structuring, and sales execution.
  • Solid knowledge of AML/KYC regulations, compliance, and risk management principles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with multiple stakeholders.
