Our client, a prestigious private bank renowned for its long-standing heritage and comprehensive wealth management solutions, is seeking a talented and driven Relationship Manager to join their dedicated Charitable Trust team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role within a leading Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) in the UK, combining deep client relationship management with strategic business development. You will be instrumental in helping high-net-worth individuals and families achieve their philanthropic goals through expertly managed charitable giving.

Duties of the Relationship Manager (Charitable Trust / DAF) to include:

  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and deepen enduring relationships with an existing portfolio of high-net-worth families and foundations within the charitable trust/DAF.
    • Provide expert guidance on philanthropic strategies, grant-making processes, and DAF administration, ensuring alignment with donor intentions.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering exceptional service and proactively addressing their needs and queries.
    • Facilitate the efficient and compliant distribution of grants, overseeing due diligence and reporting for donor-advised funds.
    • Business Development:
      • Identify, engage, and convert new business opportunities from the bank's existing client base who are not yet utilizing the charitable trust services.
      • Proactively develop relationships with external high-net-worth individuals, families, and their advisors (e.g., lawyers, accountants, wealth managers) to introduce the value proposition of the DAF.
      • Develop and execute strategic outreach plans, presentations, and networking initiatives to expand the trust's client portfolio and market presence.
      • Represent the charitable trust at industry events, seminars, and relevant professional networking functions.

Requirements for the successful Relationship Manager to include:

  • Proven track record in business development within the financial services sector, ideally engaging with high-net-worth clients.
  • Direct experience with Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) or significant professional experience within the broader philanthropy or charity sectors is essential
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with sophisticated clients.
  • Strong understanding of charitable giving mechanisms, tax implications for donors and charities, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven, with a collaborative team-player mindset.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CISI, STEP, or equivalent financial services/philanthropy accreditations) are desirable.

Benefits include:

  • Excellent industry leading pension scheme
  • High level bonus
  • Heavily subsidised on-site catering
  • Hybrid working, allowing you flexibility to balance working from home
  • Full private healthcare
  • AND MORE!
