Our client, a prestigious private bank renowned for its long-standing heritage and comprehensive wealth management solutions, is seeking a talented and driven Relationship Manager to join their dedicated Charitable Trust team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role within a leading Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) in the UK, combining deep client relationship management with strategic business development. You will be instrumental in helping high-net-worth individuals and families achieve their philanthropic goals through expertly managed charitable giving.
Duties of the Relationship Manager (Charitable Trust / DAF) to include:
- Onboard and meticulously manage investment funds and associated customer relationships.
- Present the firm's philanthropic solutions to new and prospective customers and intermediaries.
- Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities for the firm's charitable offerings, facilitating meetings to advance these prospects.
- Explore opportunities to deepen relationships with existing customers, potentially expanding their engagement with the firm's wider services.
- Collaborate closely with the product management team to continuously develop and enhance the firm's charitable investment solutions.
- Actively participate in and host philanthropy networking events to foster a deeper understanding of the charitable marketplace.
- Diligently monitor risk registers and ensure the firm's reputation and risk exposure related to its philanthropic funds are meticulously protected.
- Manage funds, including annual meetings, trust reviews, investment policy statements, wealth manager interactions, and associated philanthropy advice and due diligence.
- Maintain and develop relevant databases and assist with day-to-day trust administration.
- Support the Service & Delivery Manager in contacting pipeline customers and organizing meetings to achieve annual targets.
- Identify and develop relationships with existing and emerging intermediaries within the not-for-profit/charity sector.
- Develop and implement communication and action plans to enhance philanthropic knowledge among the firm's younger customer base through training initiatives.
Requirements for the successful Relationship Manager to include:
- Proven experience dealing with philanthropy, estate, and trust administration.
- Demonstrable experience working with customers and intermediaries to develop business.
- A solid understanding of philanthropy, including relevant tax benefits and due diligence requirements.
- Membership of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and relevant qualifications desirable
- Experience with CCH accounting and Tax package desirable
