We are looking for a highly skilled and adaptable Temporary Payments Specialist with a strong background in SWIFT payments to join a prominent private bank in London. This is a critical role for the bank’s operational resilience, designed to provide immediate support to the payments team in the event of a system outage or other disruption.

As a member of this contingency resource, you will be on-call to provide expert support at short notice. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payments, with a specific focus on SWIFT messages.

Key Responsibilities of the SWIFT Payments Specialist to include:

• Process a high volume of payments, particularly SWIFT messages (MT101, MT103, MT202, etc.), ensuring all transactions are executed accurately and efficiently.
• Work collaboratively with the payments team to maintain processing capacity during system outages.
• Adhere strictly to established procedures and compliance protocols.
• Resolve payments-related queries and exceptions, escalating issues as necessary.

Skills & Experience SWIFT Payments Specialist to include:

• Demonstrable experience as a payments professional within a financial institution.
• In-depth knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards and protocols.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to short-notice requests.
• Strong communication skills.
