- An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a standalone Head of HR to join this international banking group based in the City. Incorporating modern banking processes with a true ethos of providing exceptional customer service, this presents a rare and truly exciting opening. The successful candidate will report directly to senior management and be responsible for the management and delivery of the entire scope of the Bank’s HR policies and strategy for London as well as coordinating HR some activities across the Group’s International network.
This is a truly generalist role where you will have responsibility for full developing and delivery of HR planning strategies, candidates must also be comfortable in dealing with expat packages and payroll.
Wider accountabilities will include:
· Developing and implementing a successful HR policy in compliance with company regulations whilst keeping abreast of employment legislation ensuring this is reflected in the Branch’s polices
· Maintenance of employee records, including regulatory references, certification and assessments
· Managing the administration of payroll, staff benefits and expat administration
· Managing the recruitment process, producing job descriptions, management of agencies, selection process, on-boarding checks, preparation of employee contracts and staff inductions
· Advising on salary issues and implementing salary reviews
· Planning and delivery of training
· Employee welfare and communications - resolving of grievances and disputes, health and safety standards, as well as general communication
· Maintenance of the Branch Handbook
· Management all operational HR issues including; performance, talent and management development, disciplinary procedures and absence management
The successful candidate will be an experienced HR professional with a proven track record of success in a standalone position. The ideal candidate will have a broad background from a banking or financial services environment, coupled with experience in smaller/medium sized companies, ideally international environment. Most importantly you must be able to demonstrate proven judgement skills and sound management experience.
