Due to rapid expansion a fantastic opportunity has arisen within an international banking group based in Central London for a CUSTOMER DUE DILIGENCE OFFICER. Candidates must be of Graduate calibre with a minimum of 3 years banking experience with a strong focus on KYC / Account opening procedures.
Duties to include:
· Check know-your-customer (“KYC”) / account opening documents and review KYC report
· Implement account amendment and closure in compliance with the internal/regulatory procedure/guidelines
· Contribute to the implementation and controls for daily processes and assist with the update of procedures
· Collect and Analyse records of KYC documentation, identify Ultimate Beneficial Owners (“UBOs”) and Politically Exposed Persons (“PEPs”)
· Mitigate integrity risks for the bank by contributing to the risk assessment and control of business relationships
· Identify financial crime risk triggers and carry out investigations via publicly available sources
· To monitor financial transactions for existing clients to identify suspicious activities
· Investigating of errors and complaints, finding the problem and resolving efficiently
· Supporting the middle / back office functions on ad hoc tasks
Candidates will ideally have 3 years banking experience (at least one year focused on KYC) and will be familiar with suspicious transaction / sanctions monitoring systems. CISI Combating Financial Crime qualification is an advantage. You will be proficient user of MS Office to include Outlook and Excel. Candidates must have Cantonese language skills.
