SENIOR QA ENGINEER ( FINANCE )

UP TO £75K + BONUS

An International Financial Service is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer who has potential to lead a team of QA engineers. A 5- 7 Year minimum experience is critical for this position and must be confident in Quality Assurance concepts, practices and tools. Experience in Finance or Banking is essential to be considered for this position.

DUTIES:

• Required to review functional requirements to assess their impact on the software applications and formulate tests cases from them
• Write concise, complete, well organized bug reports, test cases, and status reports
• Setup, configuration and maintenance of software test environments
• Evaluate the application and test cases to be automated. Work with Engineers to create a library of automated tests to maximize test coverage
• Work with supervisor’s to evaluate and recommend enhancements, document QA processes and improve best testing practices
• Responsible in reviewing software applications objectively and liaise with Business Analysts and End- Users

ESSENTIAL:

• JAVA or PYTHON experience
• MySQL and Oracle experience (5 Years minimum experience)
• UNIX / LINUX scripting experience desirable
• XML and XML schema, JSON and CSV file formats experience
• Have handled mainstream defect tracking tools and test management tools
• Demonstrable experience in the field of Software Quality Assurance
• B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Maths or equivalent is preferred
