- Description
A global trading house is FX Trading Application Support Analyst to join their team in Central London to provide tier 2 application support and maintenance.
Job Duties:
- Monitor support tickets, conduct and configure monitoring and log all support calls
- Provide second level support with all applicable upstream, downstream, batch, and trading system needs
- Communicate in non-technical terms with stakeholders to troubleshoot application issues, diagnose root causes
- SLA timeframe service requests
- Create internal troubleshooting guides
- Conduct and configure system based monitoring as needed
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the technical aspects of the assigned trading systems
- Train team members as backups
- Team and collaborate with development teams, and applicable system owners
Requirements:
- Bash, preferably in Python and/or Perl
- MS SQL, Oracle, Sybase, or MySQL
- Experience in a cross functional environment in Support within Foreign exchange, commodities and securities
- Experience resolving issues and providing technical support, and provide service to SLAs
- Work in a fast paced environment for client facing server side support
- Experience working both independently in teams
- A Degree in Relevant area preferred but not essential
