- Description
- An exciting new opening has arisen within a City based international bank for Credit Analyst to join their Structured Finance Team. Working with a dedicated portfolio of clients, the successful candidate will be required to conduct monitoring and review exercises and provide timely and accurate information on the portfolio from a credit and portfolio management perspective. Duties to include:
- Diligent credit assessment of a portfolio of assets, reporting on any potential credit quality issues
- Processing of amendment and waiver requests and conducting ratings reviews of the portfolio in a timely and accurate manner
- In-depth credit monitoring (review of financial statements, financial covenants etc. interrogation of reports etc.)
- Analyse and update financial models and undertake sensitivity analysis where appropriate to assist in recognition and mitigation of potential credit risk migration
- Undertake transaction or trading line renewal applications
- Monitor trends in terms of corporate credit fundamentals, geographical market and sectoral trends etc.
- Assist other departments with stress testing, etc.
- Liaise and build effective working relationships with other departments from front to back office
- Liaise and build effective working relationships with agent banks, clients and other professional bodies
Ideally educated to degree-level (or the equivalent) applicants must demonstrate the following:
- Recent relevant credit risk management experience, ideally gained from working with a portfolio of Financial Institutions
- A sound understanding of daily credit limit monitoring processes
- A good knowledge of credit events and its monitoring procedures
- An understanding of structured finance, corporate banking and the risks associated with corporate lending
- Good level of Excel skills and cash flow modelling skills
- Knowledge of covenant monitoring, contents of loan documentation including but not limited to covenants and collaterals
