As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a Private Banking Assistant to join an established team, supporting a team of Private Bankers in the management of their client portfolios.</p>
<p>This is a varied, client-facing role at the very heart of the banking team. You will take ownership of the day-to-day running of client accounts, working hand-in-hand with the Private Bankers to deliver the seamless service their clients expect. <p><strong>Key Responsibilities of the Private Banking Assistant to include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Client Relationship Support: </strong>build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular contact by phone, email and in person, delivering exceptional levels of service.</li>
<li><strong>Daily Account Management: </strong>manage daily excess, prepare and review reports, and oversee the day-to-day administration of client accounts.</li>
<li><strong>Payments & Transfers: </strong>process payments, transfers of funds and foreign exchange requirements accurately and within deadlines.</li>
<li><strong>Onboarding & Compliance: </strong>support the onboarding of new clients, completing KYC, CDD and AML checks across a variety of client types and maintaining accurate records in line with the bank’s procedures and data protection requirements.</li>
<li><strong>Lending Support: </strong>assist with the preparation of internal credit applications and the ongoing monitoring of existing borrowings in accordance with the bank’s credit policies and procedures.</li>
<li><strong>Cross-Team Collaboration: </strong>work closely with the Private Bankers and colleagues across Credit Risk, Client Operations, Financial Crime and other departments to meet the bank’s objectives.</li>
<li><strong>Wider Contribution: </strong>support ad-hoc business projects as required, including new product launches, and complete all mandatory training in a timely manner.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Requirements for the successful Private Banking Assistant: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Candidates will ideally have private banking experience, with a track record of client-facing work alongside high-net-worth individuals.</li>
<li>Preferably educated to UK degree level or equivalent, with a desire to develop a career within a progressive private bank.</li>
<li>Strong relationship-building skills and a genuine commitment to excellent client service and teamwork.</li>
<li>A sound understanding of how a bank operates and its commercial environment, including awareness of KYC, AML and the wider regulatory landscape.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with effective questioning and listening skills.</li>
<li>Qualifications such as CeMap advantageous (though not essential)</li>
