Due to exciting business growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a diligent and proactive Regulatory Compliance Officer to join a leading innovator in the digital payments space. As the firm continues to scale its global footprint, you will support the design, implementation, and ongoing effectiveness of the regulatory compliance framework.

Reporting directly to the Head of Financial Crime & Deputy MLRO, you will play a critical role in providing practical compliance advice to support sustainable and compliant growth.

Duties of the Regulatory Compliance Officer to include:

  • Framework Management: Support the development, maintenance, and embedding of compliance policies, procedures, and controls across the business.
  • Regulatory Advice: Provide day-to-day regulatory compliance advice to first-line teams on product, customer, and operational matters.
  • Control Implementation: Assist in interpreting regulatory requirements and translating them into practical, risk-based controls.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Conduct monitoring and thematic reviews in line with the Compliance Monitoring Plan, covering areas such as Consumer Duty, Safeguarding, and Financial Promotions.
  • Horizon Scanning: Support horizon scanning activities and assess the impact of regulatory changes on the business strategy.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Assist with regulatory submissions, notifications, and ongoing supervisory engagement with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and other relevant bodies.

Requirements for the successful Regulatory Compliance Officer to include:

  • Subject Matter Expertise: A good understanding of UK regulatory requirements and supervisory expectations.
  • Operational Excellence: Experience providing practical compliance advice to business stakeholders and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Communication: Strong analytical, organisational, and report-writing skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable insights.
