- A specialist lender based in Central London is seeking to hire a Head of Treasury on a permanent basis as the company embarks on the next stage of their growth. With ambitious expansion plans for 2019, including the launch of new lending platform, this is a critical hire in which the successful candidate will be responsible for the Group’s liquidity requirements, managing the relationships with its funding line providers and investigating / reporting financial data. The successful candidate will have gained Treasury Management experience gained within a similar financial services organisation (knowledge of real estate finance is preferred).
Duties to include:
- Ensure there is sufficient liquidity by monitoring and forecasting cash balances and drawing new bank loans / repaying existing loans as and when needed
- Relationship Management all funding line providers. Manage of external debt and internal shareholder equity,
- Ensure compliance with the Facility agreements of external bank debt including covenant monitoring and calculation, re/prepayments, drawdowns and interest payments
- Manage most efficient fund utilisation of existing funding as per agreed target
- Manage and present business forecast and analysis on a periodical basis
- Reporting to Senior Management and the Board of Directors as required
- Produce guidance notes on best practice and develop Funding / FPNA policies in line with Board approved levels
- Ensure timely reports are produced by the team the monthly internally and externally, periodic and ad-hoc
- Work closely with other departments or solely on any other Treasury ad-hoc related issues / activities / projects as and when needed
- Manage intercompany loan structure, documentation and balances
- Advise and participate as and when necessary on high level projects such as private equity
- Manage negotiation of commercial terms on any new facility agreements
- Understand and adhere to the industry financial regulations and legislation.
- Maintain adequate control across the various facilities to ensure that facilities are not breached and notify SMT of any potential breaches.
- Continually assess the tools and processes needed for the role and to propose more efficient systems.
- Manage a team of fully / part qualified individuals
To be considered, applicants will be hold a relevant Accountancy or Treasury qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AMCT) with experience gained within financial services, ideally mortgage lending. This role will suit a strategic thinker with experience of successfully influencing and directing strategic development at a senior level.
