- Description
- An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Project Assistant / Junior PM within a City-based investment management company for a contractual period of 6 months. The purpose of this role is to assist with the delivery of a Change Programme (system migration) and work closely with the Programme Manager and Head of PMO in order to achieve this. You will assess issues and risks and apply escalation criteria when needed. This is a great opportunity to further your career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Duties to include:
· Producing and maintaining operational / milestone plan, raising late-running activities with work streams and clarifying reasons for delays in the plan
· Recording actions and decisions made in meetings, following up on action points, ensuring that work streams are running in line with project plans and providing updates to senior stakeholders
· Liaising with third party providers ensuring actions logs are maintained and regular updates are received
· Ensuring RAID logs are maintained etc.
· Liaising with stakeholders to produce progress reports
· Preparing business planning status reports
· Producing project documentation, MIS, presentations
To be considered for this role applicants must demonstrate:
· Previous experience in a PMO Analyst / Junior Project Manager role
· Experience in managing and administering programme particulars
· Understanding of PMO processes, standards and governance
· Proven experience in stakeholder management, ability to liaise with, influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels including senior stakeholders
· An appreciation of Governance Framework compliance and a desire to become an integral part of the team,
· Strong IT skills
· Strong problem solving skills
An understanding of Investment / Wealth Management or Financial Services would be highly desirable.
