- Our client is one of the fastest growing Financial Technology firms in the world. Leaders in their field and now operating on a global scale (5 offices) they are looking experienced Software Testing Manager to join the London based offices and redefine the software QA and testing strategy and manage the external QA team. The candidate will possess an excellent knowledge of software platforms and databases (J2EE & NoSQL) as well as frontend and backend testing tools/frameworks (JavaScript based).
Duties to include:
· Lead the QA function and manage 3rd party partner QA Team
· Develop and execute the QA and software testing strategy
· Responsible for creating test strategies for all the projects in portfolio based on standards and best practices
· Responsible for all testing deliverables from the QA team and ensuring deliveries are properly tested, taking into account functional, regression, load and system test
· Lead continuous improvement efforts by identifying improvement areas, reassess and challenge, standardisation needs, identification of automation opportunities
· Lead the planning and development of quality controls
· Oversee creation and maintenance of test cases in line with Product and Technology requirements
· Produce analysis and reports in connection with the testing team (standard QA reports, test plans)
· Contribute to the development of new tools and internal processes
· Promote and enforce the uses of QA and QC best practices
· Accountable to communicate Product quality level before any external delivery and stop delivery if quality standards are not met
· Report status of progress of testing through daily, weekly and other reporting mechanism to all stakeholders for the project
· Report defects in the defect management system and ensure the status of the defect is tracked to closure, which will involve retesting of defects that are fixed by development team
· Perform Test results analysis post execution of testing and provide feedback on areas of improvements in code
· Perform Defect trends analysis during and post release and provide detailed report on risks and lessons learnt
· Ensure compliance to procedures and agreed policies
Our client is looking for a candidate with strong supervisory experience, ideally gained with Financial Services / Technology. Candidates with experience with a greenfield testing automation project will be at a distinct advantage.
